Join us on a school study tour to hear from school leaders, observe classrooms, participate in professional development and exchange ideas with fellow educators from across the city.
During each visit, visitors will have the chance to experience the school and its vision at large while also exploring a particular focus area. Past focus areas include: "Closing the Creativity Gap," "Infusing Character Education," "Supporting Teacher Development & Retention" and "Using Traditions to Build School Culture."
Explore how four NYC schools support their students with special needs through various classroom models and innovative programming. Directly observe classroom instruction and the planning that goes into successful special education practices.

"The Blue Ribbon School Study Tour at PS 203Q was a well-coordinated event. It was a truly rewarding and enriching experience. There is a wealth of best practices occurring at the PS 203Q and the sense of collaborative responsibility and accountability can been witnessed throughout the building. I have a lot of notes and pictures to share." – Sandra Cover, PS 282
"NYC Collaborates' School Study Tours were the highlight of my December—and I'm still mulling over the insights and ideas I pulled from the visits. In addition to just being a great exposure to really interesting work, they were incredibly well-organized, perfectly executed, and beautifully targeted." – Former NYC DOE Principal
